Eksjö, Bullerbyn and shopping

My grandparents and my uncle are visiting us and since they’re planning on moving to Eksjö (about five miles from Hultsfred) we took a trip there today to check the place out. The old town was amazing! There aren’t many places like that in Sweden and very few of those places have as many old houses as Eksjö old town. It reminded me a lot about the medieval town of Visby, my favourite place in the world. We did some sightseeing and shopping in Eksjö and then we went to Bullerbyn where the Astrid Lindgren movie about the Bullerby children was filmed. Check out photos here.

And this is what I bought:
tee
A white t-shirt with this motif. This tee is actually a kids tee. How cool isn’t that? When I was a kid we certainly didn’t wear clothes with gothic motifs like this. Gotta love it!

tee
And one more tee with a little less gloomy motif. It costed me 25 SEK. That’s like 2.50 €. Cheap or what?!

tea
As soon as I laid my eyes on this bottle of ice tea I knew I had to have it! Not because I love green tea with ginseng and honey but because of the pretty, pretty bottle!

chair
I’ve forgot to post a photo of my new chairs for the balcony so here it comes. Here’s Nicky posing in one of the two chairs. Pretty, eh?

EDIT: I made a new tutorial about how to convert your site into XHTML 1.0. It’s the best tutorial I’ve made so far but as always I fear that it might cointain some error. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t but I’d apprechiate if you people who feel that you’re good at XHTML could have a look at it, just in case. I think everyone should have a look at it and tell me what you think. Is it easy to understand? Is there something I should have covered and didn’t?

  1. Haha… that bottle of Green tea they sell here at the dollar store for 1.00 CAD lol.

Sounds like you are having fun though :D I have no idea how to pronounce half of the things you posted about in this entry xD But everything sounds cool :)

  2. I love old villages and towns! I prefer them when compared to cities :) Nice photos and T-shirts. I got some T-shirts for prices like 2.50 euros when I was in Brussels last week. That tea bottle is pretty

  3. hi!
    thanks for the comment! :)
woow! the town from photos looks amazing! it’s so cute and neat! lol! i definitely want to visit sweden if i get the chance. :D
    oh wow, i like your tutorials! i’ll check out the xhtml one, since i never quite understood what xhtml is all about. 0_o;

  4. :) i can see why you liked Eksjö – i fell in love with it from the pics as well!!

the new purchases are gorgeous :) i especially loveeee the chairs! i’ve never seen anything like them – they’re usually full of summery colours (palm trees and what not), i barely ever saw plain coloured ones let alone really gorgeous ones like the ones you own!! :)

& i agree with you on the bottle – it’s really really pretty, such a shame to throw it away after the tea is finished!

  5. thanks for accepting. i will add your link as soon as im done writing this comment. i love the shirts, but i like the first one better :) its amazing! hehehe. sorry if my site was messed up when you visited, i was in the middle of fixing stuff, lol.

  6. That place is really pretty! If I ever move to Sweden, I thik I’ll move there :P

Kids clothes are so nice nowadays. I keep on seeing shirts and thinking ‘ooo I want that!’, but then I walk up to it and realise that it’s for 6 year old boys. Children have too fancy clothes lol.

  7. Oh, I have always wanted to see Bullerbyn ^^

Checked the tutorial and it seems easy enough to understand, and I think you pretty much covered everything there is to know.

    Also, added your link! xD

  8. That sounds like an awesome town. We don’t have any old towns like that where i live. Well, I live in Florida in America, and we don’t have castle-like places around here. And if we do they’re ruins left by Spaniards that have become turist locations, lol.

  9. Sounds like a fun little town! Some houses are amazingly pretty! That shirt is awesome! And the chair is really hot, I’d love to have those in stead of those ugly plastic types, they’re so eww!

  10. I really like the patten on that chair, it’s rather pretty. Those t-shirts are amazing, I can’t believe the first one was a kids tee. You can’t get kids tee’s like that where I live!

I looked at the photo’s, and I think that strange shoe art thing is so cool!
