Misantrophy is for the realistic idealist

People react so funny when I say that I think humanity should be extinct. Yes, we should all die. There should be no humans on the planet.

When I say things like that people go “Oh but not everyone are bad you know”! Yeah, not everyone are bad. But I am and you who’s reading this probably is too.

I do small things like recycle and donate money to charity every month but I’m still bad for the planet. I live in a apartment full of things created in factories polluting the nature. I ride with my dad in his car to work every week and buy food that’s been shipped for days in trucks polluting the air even more. I have a lot of electrial things and I bet not all my electricity is nice to the environment. I probably own some make-up that’s been tested on animals. I most definitely own clothes and furniture that’s been created under conditions which are not only bad for the environment but also for the people working with it.  I know I’m a bad person. But so are you. If you live in a cottage in the forest without electricity and grow all your food in your garden, then you’re a good person.

In Sweden we hunt wild animals so they won’t over-populate. That means so they won’t eat our farm animals which we make money from or run over roads and get hit by our cars so that we might get hurt. Who the fuck are we to decide over such things?! We’re the most overpopulated specie of all and no other specie has done so much damage to the planet as we have! For the greater good of the planet we should all disappear from the face of earth.

I don’t hate people but our society makes me sad. I’m misantrophic because I see us for what we are and that hurts. How we treat animals, how we treat eachother, how we’re so extremely destructive. I want to change so much but I’m just one little person. If we all decided to change our ways this world could be good. But that won’t happen. Ever. It makes me despair.

  1. Sounds just like how my boyfriend and I think. He’s a full-fledged furfag and I’m a newbie furfag. It’s how me and him think. Humans are a disgrace, especially Sarah Palin for wanting to support aerial hunting in Alaska on wolves. I am a wolf furfag and my boyfriend is a bunny/rabbit furfag. We don’t like how we are as humans and are like anti-human. ^^;

  2. ooo coll one quest though is 70€ muh tjhough? lol i dont know hehe

i so agree with the people issue but if there was no people then there wouldnt really be a point in th eearth so it would matter if it were destroyed lol but i see where you cominfg from.

  3. I disagree with you slightley, I just want to clean up amongst the power-elite that runs this so called “falling apart” world. It’s all a smokescreen anyway! don’t feel all to bad about the earth thing, making us recycle is so dumb it’s not going to make a difference, the earth isn’t going to destroy it self due to us. globalwarming isn’t reaaaaaaaal.

  4. I can understand what you mean, even if my views differ on this slightly. I find myself getting really angry at the world a lot of times. How society has esbatlished the way things should be and how they are run by certain people, and setting the rules for how things should be. My blood runs cold about the way animals can be treated.

Humans are not as great as they think they are. We are really nothing in the grand scheme of things, just on a giant ego trip.

    end rantage haha.

  5. I assume this post is simple pondering.
Otherwise you would not be here to type it, eh?

I think change can happen. Not by people like you.
Hell, maybe even not by people like me.

I’m sure your feelings were echoed in worse times.
(Yes, there have been worse times)
When women were property, Blacks were slaves, and the poor man’s sons could never hope to read or write.
But, some people decided to take action, and change happened.

    :)

  6. I can’t say that I agree with you about people, but I do believe that one day we will be extinct. We’ll have our time like the dinosaurs. I have no idea how long it’ll be, but we all die eventually.

  7. I think I can refute your point with one sentence: “If humans weren’t destroying the earth or killing animals, something else would be”

Its the order of nature, survival of the species, how nature works. Yes we could try to do better but i’m not surprised by how we behave but I feel like its not something worth spending your time worrying about. If everyone just did a tiny bit more instead of moaning about it then maybe things would improve a little?

  8. I’m sure that one day humans will be extinct. I dunno when and I dunno how, but certainly that is bound to happen. Just like you I feel that i’m being a bad human in a way that I tend to overuse some things, I use electricity too much and all those kinds of things.

  9. It’s survival of the fittest, to a point. We are all born into this world alone, even if it is a multiple birth. we are our own being — human or otherwise. we ought to all take responsibility for our own actions.

don’t say something made you do it, because you are in charge of your own life. no one pointed a gun at your head and said else. you also have to take in account that since the dawn of man, we have basically taken what we’ve wanted without asking or telling, just doing. it is all that we know. even your simplest form of life follows the same path, except maybe an omeba. won’t we do anything to protect ourselves and/or young?

ultimately, we can’t stop the inevitable. what’s going to happen will. if the earth is going to blow up, she will. mother earth is pissed off, as we can tell. i just want to ask maria how she can say global warming isn’t real? i guess you can choose not to believe in it, but then explain the polar icecaps melting and the change of migration patterns. recycling may be futile, but every little bit helps. wouldn’t a person be pissed if they found out the earth blew up because they decided to throw away that candy wrapper.

i’m not saying i’m perfect, because i’m not by far. i’ve thrown my share of cigarette butts out the window doing 50, but i do what i can when i conciously think about it. it should be on my mind more, and i guess that does make me a bad person. but hey. if you follow the mayan calender, we’ll all be dead anyway by 2012. and i do believe that one day we’ll find a way to live on the moon once the earth is used up, and then we can start all over again. hizzah!

    – psst. so sorry for the looong comment. this blog just.. was a really good idea, i think. i agree with you.

  10. you’re entitled to your opinion. i disagree about us needing to be extint b/c i like having a brain n stuff and living =). yes there are tons of bad ppl and theyll get what they deserve =)

  11. Sing it to the choir, sing it!

I try to promote population reduction since this would never happen, but, you might convince people not to breed, thus reducing our numbers.

This is why I will never have children. Well, the first of many reasons.
