Something I really dislike is Pay Per Post and other paid blogging. When I visit a site I don’t want to read a post full of praise of some product or company written by someone who just praise it because they’re paid to. Some have the decency to at least let you know the post is advertisement but many don’t. Mostly it’s pretty obvious which is which but not always and when I read a blog I don’t want to have to guess what’s advertisement and what’s not. I feel like I’m being lied to when someone recommend something not because they actually like it but because they get money for doing so.

I do read blogs containing PPP but if I spot a paid post I skip reading it. And I know it’s easy money and that a lot of people are in desperate need of cash. I’ll never like the concept anyway. Me if anyone could use some money but I’ll never do paid blogging. I want my readers to be able to trust that what I write is nothing but my honest opinions. I’m not for sale.

I came across this site which offers a couple of cool “Ad-free blog” images which you can use on your site. I immediately put one in my sidebar.

What do you guys think about paid blogging? Do you do it yourself?

Darling!

  3. Marie Claire Marie Claire says:

I never actually tried payed blogging but I don’t really like it! I love that site, thanks for sharing, I’m gonna add the badge to my sidebar too :)

  4. Maria Maria says:

Fan vad kul att du bloggar mycket nu, förresten. :)

  5. mohammed mohammed says:

    SUG MIG!

    (HAS mud. HAS!)
    sorry

  6. mohammed mohammed says:

    Sug mig, igen.

    OCH FORTFARANDE HAS MUD OKEJ?
    ursäkta

  7. maria maria says:

God dammit to hell those people who are endorsing stuff and slip it in to their blogposts, I hate it and I would never do it. I love to read about people recommending qualty stuff that they actually use. and commercials just ruin the point of it.

  8. Elizabeth Elizabeth says:

Ooo yay you added the ad-free blog thing! Yes, I totally agree (obviously). It’s really frustrating because, now that PPP exists, I’m always a little suspicious whenever I see ANYONE praising any kind of product on their blog. But sometimes, I just want to praise something that I found! But then I worry that people will think I’m advertising, which I’m totally not.

If people ARE going to have ads (which I guess I understand–I have no money either), they should do google ads or something that does require them to compromise their vision/creativity for money.

Boo. It’s especially ridiculous when people do PPP for, like, plastic surgery, which I used to see a lot. It’s hard to write a post advertising that…. :/

  9. Ivy Ivy says:

i always signed up for those and is approved but never the blog -.-” which makes me not want to do it anymore :(

  10. Katie Katie says:

If it was paid for, I wouldn’t bother doing it, or reading it.
I mean, surely theres better ways of getting money than posting a blog!

  11. Jhoice Jhoice says:

Payperpost is one of my favorite paid to blogging programs, and Yeah I am really into monetizing thingy..;D payperpost really pays good and always on time… but I stopped blogging for them for a while cuz of th0se codes tracking && image

Anyway, thanks for sharing dat site.
that’s pretty interesting. I think imma put one on my blog too :D

  12. Gel Gel says:

I couldn’t put an ad free thing on my blog for the main reason that I also make money out of blogging. However, despite the fact that I have paid blog entries, I still make it a point to make decent entries for my visitors to read so I guess that’s okay :)

  13. Mallory Mallory says:

Ugh, I agree, Angel’! Pay Per Post entries make me rage so hard. :´( I hate it even more when there’s no ‘real’ entries after a few weeks, because the owner doesn’t bother to blog anymore, and it’s filled to the brim with only PPP entries … That’s when you know the site’s gone down the shitter.

    :(

  14. Michelle Michelle says:

I don’t mind paid blog entries, provided it’s identified somehow. That being said, I do paid blogging myself and do it just enough to be able to pay for my domains and hosting.

You can’t judge *all* PPP blogs the same way because not everyone does the max 3 entries/day. Some people do it once a week, a few times a month, once in a while just to make a little bit extra cash. That being said, there’s no way that a blog can *only* have PPP entries as you’re required to have regular, non-sponsored entries between sponsored ones. Just throwing that out there.

  15. Sakura Sakura says:

I used to do paid blogging but I only accept full review for paid posts. This means that i can write about the disadvantages about the site although I try not to do that. :)

:) :D :P 8) ;)    :? :| :/ :O :( >:( >:) more »
