A couple of you asked about how much I get paid for the festival job. The payment I get is a free festival ticket which costs 1490 SEK (189$) (137€). So basicly I get 1490 SEK for twelve hours work. Pretty nice.
I have to admit that if I didn’t live in Hultsfred I’d never go to the festival. First of all I really wouldn’t enjoy sleeping in a tent on a muddy field among a couple of thousands of drunk people. And then of course the bands playing this year really suck.
The Killers as a headliner. Hellooo! Can I say CRAP?! It’s not like there’s usually a lot of good bands but this is really, really bad! I mean, last year at least I saw HIM and the year before that my favourite band in the world; Manic Street Preachers. Now I’m gonna see Thåström, Takida and Lars Winnerbäck, which are all swedish! And none of them are in my top ten or even twenty of bands I like.
At least somethings happening in Hultsfred. It’s party party and I will love it even though the bands suck!

And festivals are usually nice even if you don’t like the music, I can’t wait ’til the festival here in town starts so I can eat langos for lunch *lol*
About sleeping in a tent – I recently got back from Sweden Rock Festival, and as usual we lived in a tent at the festival camp. It’s… interesting, but I actually like it, it’s a part of the festival. Going to Sweden Rock just isn’t the same if I sleep in a hotel room or something. It’s like it’s supposed to be a little rough and rugged

If I translate that out our NIS, it would mean you are going to get paid ALOT more than minimal wage per hour.. what is a minimum wage there. Well it is a good deal either way.. even if the bands are not that good..
WOW! $130/year for a .nu domain. That’s a lot! I’ve always wanted a .nu domain, because of their rarity and they have an added ring to their names, but I never felt like it was worth shelling out the $60 for one. That’s why I’m hoping I win the namecheap contest enough times LOL.
The festival sounds like it COULD be fun IF you were with the right people and good music was playing.
I’m not a big fan of mud and tents either, or the Killers for that matter..
That’s so much money, that’s like over 1000 dollars here. Parties with sucky music, I’ll probably throw spoons at the band, don’t ask about the spoons, just the first thing that came to my head. But a party is awesome when you’ve got crazy friends to have fun with!

the killers? you poor poor thing!! But a concert’s atmosphere’s always a lot of fun (jumping around, drinking beer all day & what not hehehehe) … minus the mud!!! I’d rather rent out a hotel nearby than sleep in filth x_x;
It’s good that you live in Hultsfred, must be a lot easier than sleeping in a tent! I’ve never been to any real festival (I don’t think Malmöfestivalen counts!) just because I can’t see myself sleeping in the mud
Is there going to be alcohol? That always seems to help.
I also do not enjoy The Killers.
