Tomorrow me and my sisters are going to the medieval week in Visby. Visby is this wonderful medieval town on the island Gotland. The inner city is surrounded by a medieval wall and full of medieval houses and ruins. It’s my favourite place in the world (not that I’ve seen much of the world… but still) and this will be my fifth trip there in seven years.
The medieval week is a one week event similar to the renaissance fairs in USA. There’s a medieval fair, medieval pubs and restaurants, tournaments, concerts, plays, excibitions and so much more. And of course people dress up in medieval clothes. Me and my sisters will be wearing velvet dresses with long flowing sleeves. I’ll be wearing a blue one, Danielle a red and Nathalie a yellow. We’ll look absolutely amazing! I’ll make sure to get a photo of the three of us to post here when I get home.
This turned out to be a quite eventful summer. First the Hultsfred festival, then a cruise with my family and now the medieval week. If I can afford it I’ll go to Jämtland with my grandparents aswell.
In the middle of all this, five days ago to be exact, I also turned 26. It’s weird to think that I’ll be 30 in only four years because I still feel like 18. I guess I’m wiser than I was at that age but my lifestyle haven’t changed a lot. The only difference is that I now live alone and have my own income.

Oh geez. I’ve been wanting to get there for few years because the band list is usually awesome (well, this year The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Kings of Leon, Gossip and many others).. Let’s hope they still find the money to organize the festival

Oh lucky! I’ve never been to one before (even though one of the largest Renaissance Fairs occurs in a town about 2 hours away from my hometown). I hope you guys have fun, and be sure to take some pictures to show!
I never been to a Renaissance Fair here in the states & I’ve always wanted to go. Have lots of fun in Visby (totally jealous!!). I’m glad your summer is rocking & turning older when you still feel young is most definitely weird. Meh, life goes on & we stay kids at heart. Hurrah!

HEY ANGELICA!! YOU ARE BACK!! You have been one busy girl! But that’s great that you are making the most out of your summer! I wish I could go on as many trips as you have!! We don’t have an Renaissance fairs here. We used to have a location here where they used to do it every day and was a big tourist attraction but for some reason they closed it down. I never got to go in there either! That sounds like fun though! I can’t wait to see pictures! I’ve always loved those kinds of dresses. I love the look for a olden princess!!
