Fan girls. I think we all are or have been fan girls at one time. These are the most fan girlie things I’ve done.
First of all it has to be my cat Nicky. When I decided I wanted to get one more cat I immediately decided that I wanted a boy cat this time. Why? So I could name him Nicky Wire after the bassist of Manic Street Preachers.
Another fan girlie thing I’ve done myself guilty of is starting to wear army and camouflage wear because that’s a trademark of Manics.
Yet another thing related to Manics was when I was doing grocery shopping and saw Ocean Spray (cranberry juice) on the shelf. I immediately decided that I needed to buy that juice even though it was expensive and I’m not even that fond of cranberries. Why? Well because Manics have a song named Ocean Spray where James sings about drinking it.
And then of course there’s the obvious things like waiting at the back door after after a concert to get so see the artists and have my picture taken with them. I’ve done that three times. After Juliette and the Licks, Dia Psalma and… Melody Club… I swear to god it wasn’t my idea to wait backstage after Melody Club! I just hung out with my friends who were fans… > _ <

LOL I’ve done lots of fan girl stuff too, especially when it comes to the Pumpkins/Billy Corgan. I’ve named pets after SP songs, my sites have been named after SP songs/lyrics, and yes, I have also waited at the back door after a concert to catch a glimpse of Billy and hope he stops to give autographs!
My kitten Bowie and my Labyrinth and Johnny Depp-covered walls are proof of my insane fangirlness. Obsess loudly and proudly!
LOL. We’ve all done fan girlish things.
I’ve waited to see many bands, and I met 30 Seconds To Mars twice.
I don’t know. I think appreciating and being passionate about something is cool, but when you become obsessive it can get crazy. I was obsessed with the Backstreet Boys when I was little, and lucky I haven’t really gotten obsessive since.
i haven’t heard that band you speak of, are they from Sweden? Oh and BTW, I also name my computers. I like to give my electronics personalities.
I’ll definitely check them out. I’m always looking for some new music to try out (or new to me).
Gerthruds and interesting name. my computers name is Darcy (after Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice) because he’s slow and indecisive.
Hehe, I know what you mean. Being a fan girl isn’t always easy:P
Omg! Ocean Spray craneberry juce!! I love it and it is so expensive V_V
I think I used to do this girlie groupie stuff like.. in junion high I think ^^
i’ll always and forever be a fangirl. Im very easy to obsess haha..
I wait in line for concerts from early morning, i cry when i see my idols for the first time omy god i should not say that haha? i dont ugly cry mostly like get teary eyed.. i cry during my favourite songs live:<and i really have thought of learning to play them on guitar, and i am impressed by people who does on youtube. I will always headbang and always get into concerts 110% and I hate it when other people don’t because it’s not appreciatetive of the band. hmm.. i havent named a pet after an idol because thats heresey! hehe no kidding.
Now im trying to think. But I have waited for rock stars. One including Mark Hoppus. Pretty much the best day of my life.
Unfortunately I’ve never gotten the opportunity to be fan girlish at a concert, but I’m sure I’d probably make a total fool out of myself by squealing, or just falling down dead in the presence of my most loved musicians.
The fan girl is inside me, and she’s squealing to get out. lol
Being a fangirl is cute though. Everybody wants a fangirl (fanboy… not so much!) I think the best part is getting a boy kitty. Lol.
