Is it just me or…

…does the word “hubby” sound extremely silly? If I had a husband I definitely wouldn’t speak of him as my hubby.

…is the classic Louis Vuitton pattern ugly as hell? Would anyone wear something with that pattern on if it wasn’t a expensive brand?

…is harem pants possibly the ugliest piece of clothing ever created? Five years ago someone wearing harem pants would be the object of much ridicule but now everyone and their grandmother are wearing those fuglies because they’re fashionable.

More randomness:

1. The next time you do a good deed, don’t tell anyone about it. Then it will be truly selfless and not something you talk about to make yourself look better.

2. Something that bothers me is people who get animals but don’t think it through and understand the responsibility that comes along. People who put their animal to sleep when they get tired of it. How on earth can you get tired of your pet?! It’s one thing if your life changes and you’re unable to keep your pet but getting rid of it because you just don’t feel like having it any more. How can anyone do something like that?

3. Besides CSS-based web design I’ll also study Java Script and Flash Animation. I’ll take all three classes online. Two at Umeå University and one at Gotland College.

4. Sorry for not replying to comments like I usually do. I’ve just had a lot on my mind lately. That’s also why I haven’t blogged much. That and the fact that I’m working on a new layout, since when I’m doing so pretty much put the site on hold until I’m done. Well the site isn’t on hold now but don’t expect me to be too active here for a while.

Is it just me or is that last paragraph a type example of bad writing? I dunno. I’m so tired it took me like ten minutes to make that paragraph make some kinda sense. Sometimes I wish my site was in Swedish. It’s so much easier to write in my own language.

  1. Mallory Mallory says:

I agree, ‘hubby’ sounds absolutely ridiculous. It sounds like a rather degrading term, like ‘chubby’, or something similar.

Harem pants, oh man … I fucking hate those things! They’re so freakin’ unflattering and ugly, no matter who’s wearing ‘em! I wish to take every pair of harem pants in the world and light them on fire — WITH THE WARERS STILL INSIDE THE PANTS. >:( >:( >:( Maybe that’ll teach people not to wear things just because they’re ‘in’! :P

And aww, don’t say that, about wishing your site was in Swedish! I’d have a bloody fit! I’d have to use Google to translate everything, and well, you know how reliable that thing is.

Plus, I find your use of English absolutely charming. It has a such a voice to it, if that makes any sense at all.

Ugh, and this is bad, because English is my first language. -___-; I FAIL AT TEH LIFE.

Alright, I should probably end this lame comment now. :|

  2. Ravencroft Ravencroft says:

You can have your blog in both English and Swedish. My online friend, Euri, has her blog in English and Tagalog (a dialect language of the Philippines). It just varies on what blog post she types it in.

  3. Kristen Kristen says:

I think “hubby” is funny when said randomly. If that makes sense. And the Louis Vuitton pattern is ugly as hell.
Good luck on the layout; excited to see!

  4. Monica Monica says:

Hubby reminds me of those pet names that “cute” couples would give each other. “ooh, I love my little, precious, kiwi fruit”. Something like that. But yes, it does sound ridiculous in my opinion. I wonder who invented that term.

LOL. I don’t like that LV pattern. And why do people always get them in the same colour? If I could afford Louis Vuitton clothes I would buy those funky afros they designed a few weeks/months ago. Now they are unique! But weird at the same time.

Harem pants are only nice if they weren’t worn for fashion. I don’t really know where they originated but I’m sure they would’ve looked better. People from my school team them with ugg boots and it’s the worst combination ever T_T

Not boasting about a good deed is great. I really love humble people. Modesty is what I look for in a man. Wait…I’m not really looking for a partner yet, hehe :P

I want to study Javascript :) I’m reading about it at w3schools so I know a little bit about it and understand coding more.

It must be hard writing in a language other than the one you know most. I’m not really sure how that feels like but think about – writing in English will be easier if you keep doing it. Well, at least I think so.

  5. Joebs Joebs says:

“Hubby” sounds silly to me too, but I guess other girls find it cute and endearing. Like I care. Lol. Kidding.

I’m with you especially on the first random part. We get that a lot from politicians, don’t we? It’s like you only cared about the recognition and “aww what a kind heart” remarks. People should really learn to be more humble… and sincere.

  6. Hubby sounds demeaning. I don’t understand people who use cutesy language like that towards something/someone that they love. It’s almost mocking. :/

Louis Vuitton is as ugly as hell. When I went to Vancouver in May last year, I went into the Louis Vuitton store in my hotel and just… had to get the fuck out because I was overwhelmed by the ugliness. Whoever would pay that much for something so gross looking is beyond me.

Harem pants are only good for MC Hammer impersonations/dances. They serve no function otherwise.

People who take on the responsibility of having pets without fully taking the time to understand that responsibility, or give their animals up once they’re grown, just need to be shot. I’ll never understand these kinds of individuals.

Awe. If you switch to all Swedish, I’d be sad as I am completely other language retarded. :´(

  7. kitty kitty says:

    Hubby sounds dumb indeed V_V
I don’t remember LouisVitton’s pattern.. but haem pants are th eugliest in the whole word!
Actually writing in paragraphs is very nice, for the readers actually ;)

Yeah.. some people shouldn’t get animals at all! ;(

  8. Angel Angel says:

I agree with the first three statements of this blog completely. I HATE the word hubby. It’s so bad. It doesn’t sound wonderful at all. I also dislike people who put their pets to sleep. I hate that having a pet seems to be a “fashion statement” but when there’s work that needs to be done, everyone is SO busy and can’t take care of their pet. Life is so strange..

  9. Sia Sia says:

I absolutely HATE the LV pattern. I always think its funny when women put their obviously-expensive purses on the counter, and I just roll my eyes. If I could afford a stupidly-expensive purse, I would get something with an interesting pattern. Instead of needing to desperately flaunt the things I can afford.

Harem pants were ugly in the 80s and they’re ugly now. Popularity doesn’t mean anything if they make you look like you weight 40 extra pounds. everyone should band together to tell people the pants make them look fat, so the trend will die.

  10. Nikkole Nikkole says:

I completely agree the Louis Vitton’s pattern is freakin’ ugly! I constantly see them and wonder how on earth women can spend so much money on something so ugly. Besides that, they’re tiny wallets are ridiculously over priced. I’ve never spent more than $15 on a purse, and that’s how I will continue.

I’m completely guilty of saying the word “hubby” simply because I have said “future hubby”. It is a very silly word though. I need a new nick name for him. *nods*

Regarding #2: My mom is that way. I don’t know how many cats she’s gotten in her lifetime that she has gotten rid of for whatevver reason. Why get them if you’re going to just send them away? More recently she got two kittens, brother and sister, and they were obviously playful. They were the sweetest, nicest, and cutest cats ever. They were “too crazy and wild” for her and they would “break everything” so she got rid of them after only two months. Broke my heart. They were amazing.

  11. Mallory Mallory says:

Hey again Angelicaaaa — Just letting you know that I just got your Christmas card today! I LOVED the Swedish greeting on the front. It’s way catchier than saying ‘Happy Christmas’, bwahaha. I also loved the quote you chose.

    Thank you!

  12. Kristine Kristine says:

I got your Christmas card today!! It’s so pretty ;) Thank you, and I love the quote

I don’t like the word “hubby” either, it sounds stupid to me. And the whole thing about people not taking care of their pets, and instead killing them. It’s wrong and makes me want to cry :´(

  13. Tiffany Tiffany says:

Hubby reminds me ‘hubba bubba’, which is a) a chewing gum in Australia and b) something a drunk idiot would say o.O

Yeah, I never quite picked up why people purchase those stupid LV bags. Let alone why they continue to manufacture the same friggen design!!

haha, maybe you could teach us some Swedish sometime :)

  14. Milla Milla says:

Hörredu, upskirt, varför poserar du i nattlinne? :s

  15. Brian Brian says:

Hammer pants are back? I would have never guessed! I am glad that their resurgence has been underneath my radar, because I have to question their wearers’ sanity.

No kidding about the animal thing. My neighbor recently got a dog and promptly shopped it around for a new owner, because she didn’t have time for it. (How was this not known beforehand?) After the dog found a new owner, she then bought another one! I’m not sure whether she’s kept it or not, but her “time” situation hasn’t changed … beyond sensibility. *shakes head*

  16. Shaina Shaina says:

    1. That’s actually an awesome idea. I saw an episode of Friends once where the cast discusses the fact that there is no selfless good deed because doing a good deed makes you feel good. So in that way it is still a LITTLE selfish, if you enjoy doing the good deed, I mean.

    2. It’s just sad how people buy pets on a whim without realizing that they are members of the family and should be treated as such if you are getting one. People who mistreat their animals should be shot.

    3. That sounds like a lot of fun! I’ve always wanted to learn Flash but I don’t have the time or discipline to teach myself.

    4. Can’t wait to see the layout! And this time of year is where stuff starts getting really busy, so don’t feel bad.

    5. Must look up picture of harem pants now… lol

  17. Angie Angie says:

I just say “hubby” because its more fun than saying “my husband” which sounds Oh so formal. I don’t see anything silly or demeaning about it. (what?)

I worked at an animal shelter where they made you fill out a long questionnaire before you could adopt an animal, it helped weed out the people that were serious and the ones that just wanted a pet to look cool or whatever. There’s still some hope left for our four-legged friends!

  18. tiff k tiff k says:

*hugz* you’re probably very tired now dear. oh and HAPPY NEW YEAR! Sorry for not visiting you for 2 weeks! hehe oh bad me but like you, I’d been thinking… offline and all.

Well wives like to call hubby because it’s cute and it ends with a -y. i tend to nickname my doggies like that. My old doggy was named Paris but I also call her Pawpi, papi etc XD hehe i don’t know.. it’s just me XD hehe

Agree with number 2! Pls think carefully when getting a pet, make sure you are ready for everything that it needs. And darn those! I’ve experienced having our pet put to sleep but because of suffering. We didn’t want our dog to suffer anymore… :( ( my gosh, I can still remember that day… i really really hated my dad for a while when he decided that but it’s better now that I think about it… i do miss my dog!

  19. Deanna Deanna says:

To me, hubby is something that someone calls their boyfriend. My mom calls my boyfriend my hubby all the time. Probably because we’ve been together for so long. It’s very annoying.

I know what you mean about the pets. I feel like it’s the same thing as an abortion. If you are taking care of a life you have to take responsibility for it. You can’t just get rid of it because it’s too much work.

  20. maria maria says:

I would never eiter say hubby, sounds so cheery and stupid haha!
I think LV can be hideous or really classy depending on who wears it! hehe
We should collect all harem pants and burn them! so much uglyy! Its obvious one of those clothing items everyone will go WTH was I thinking for wearing that! in a few years!

  21. Erin :] Erin :] says:

i hate that word hubby , and what kind of pants are those ; i never heard of that brand before ? :?

  22. Stepherz Stepherz says:

OMG, I hate that LV pattern! But it’s everywhere… I don’t understand how that’s cute! Give me cheap and cute over expensive and ugly any day!

And I think a lot of people get animals without thinking it through. Particularly small animals like fish and rodents. People don’t realize how much attention and love they need as well.

  23. clarity clarity says:

The LV pattern is ugly. I hate it too death.

  24. Daniella Daniella says:

I absolutely DETEST the word hubby. It sounds like you’re degrading him, treating him like a child or something to you, instead of him being your soul mate. But, I wouldn’t want him having pet names for me either, so I might just be weird.

And I think in general all those purse designs are rather horrid. LV is just one of many ugly things that for some reason someone thought cool.

  25. Ivy Ivy says:

Hello! This is Ivy from http://xivy.org. I have a new blog here: http://xkaleidoscopic.net. I was wondering if you still want to become Affiliates. If you do, please comment me and tell me. Thanks!!

  26. Ashley Ashley says:

i totally aree with you on your number two/2. I hate people who would just kill and animal, because they’re to stupid to realize you actually have to take care of it.

BTW, I got your Christmas card a few days ago. i loved it!!! It was fantastic.

  27. Malin Malin says:

The LV-pattern is really ugly, I wouldn’t wear it!

I wish my blog was in Swedish too sometimes, but then I would really miss all my international readers. And having two separate would me too much…

  28. Amy Amy says:

Ugh, I hate the word “hubby”. What’s even worse is when girls call their boyfriends “hubby”. I have a friend that’s done that with all her bf’s.
I actually like the LV pattern. lol. Buuut hate those pants. hahaha.

Oh, and the pictures of the “before and afters” on my site, the red is the “before” and the lighter colour is the “after”. haha. I should of labelled them, but was too lazy. :P

  29. Jennifer Jennifer says:

Ooo can’t wait to see the new layout! I agree 100% with the animals thing. In college especially I saw so many people get pets that they were not ready for. As far as Louis Vuitton goes though, I have to disagree. I love the classic print.

  30. roni roni says:

I love trends just as much as I love the world turning. I’ve wanted harem pants since I saw MC Hammer in them (random) but naturally something like that probably won’t surface until it’s in style.

As for the classic LV brown pattern on the classic bags (which I assume you are speaking of) it is very ugly. Then again, the people that buy those a) can’t afford the runway ones (the nice/unique ones) b) know nothing about bags because canvas is not leather!!

happy blogging and good luck on the bg!

:) :D :P 8) ;)    :? :| :/ :O :( >:( >:) more »
