The amount of snow where I live is insane. In many parts of southern Sweden there hasn’t been this much snow for decades. My personal experience is that I haven’t seen this much snow in ten years, since I moved from the northern part of the country to the south. In the north this weather is normal and something to expect but not where I live. The snow fell more than two months ago and it has stayed ever since. Usually there’s snow which melts away, then new snow falls, which also melts away, repeated through the winter. Not this year though. The snow fell in December and has stayed ever since and what barely covered the grass two months ago has turned almost waist deep in the past two months. Well at least for me and my 161 cm.

Here’s me earlier today in my parents front yard.
me in the snow

By the way, I got a DeviantArt account. Add me if you’re on there.

  1. Sean Sean says:

Yea this year has been pretty crazy with snow no matter where you live. It’s been around 60s-70s around here the last few days and we still have a lot of snow on the ground.

  2. Kristen Kristen says:

Wow! Lots of snow! :P We only had 2 real crazy snow falls here.

  3. tiff k tiff k says:

whoa!!! Climate change is really taking effect as weather around the world goes to the extremes! We’re experiencing VERY HOT SEASON now and some dams are drying up. arh!!

LOOK AT THAT SNOOW!!! SOO HIIGHH! It’s like flood… except it’s snow XD

  4. maria maria says:

hehe jesus this is not extreme, weather changes from years to years.. its not that weird.
I think its fun thought that the governments down here cannot handle the snow, they expect it to melt away so they dont take care of it, just leave it on the roads leaving the cars having only 1 car lane. its pathetic!

  5. Ivy Ivy says:

The snow looks absolutely stunning! :) I don’t know how many times I’ve wrote in people’s blog sang how much I want snow here, but I know I wrote it many times! I’m so jealous of you having snow. I really want some. I want to have a real snow day out with friends and maybe family. Throw a snowball here and there and maybe even make a snowman! But I would hate the temperature. I hate cold weather and ironically, I like in the cold weather. :( Enjoy the snow!

  6. Beara Beara says:

Wow, that is an intense amount of snow! Last year we got hit with a ton, but this year not so much.. It’s kinda nice for the reprieve. :) Apparently the East Coast and the south has been hit pretty bad and they’re all freaking out about it..

I remember one time going to Seattle, on the west side of my state one year when it snowed a lot and everyone was so scared and inexperienced driving in the snow that they just abandonded their cars in the middle of the road/highway. Looked like a ghost town totally. Was really funny that they thought it was so bad they just deserted their autos.

Stay safe in it, especially if you drive :)

  7. Angie Angie says:

We got pretty much the same amount here, except half of that melted before we got the other half. Its annoying but at least it makes for some very pretty pictures. The house behind you looks cozy. Go inside! ;)

  8. Christine Christine says:

Wow that’s a ton of snow! We haven’t had that much yet. How long did it take for you guys to plow out that path?

  9. Kimmy Kimmy says:

oh wow, that sure is A LOT of snow and of course it had to snow (again) over here, and it’s damn slippery!
    - where’s the sun when you need it? :)

  10. Isa Isa says:

The snow looks amazing, there’s so much :O
We don’t have snow here, right now there’s actually a drought and everyday is much too hot it makes me feel sick. I would love to be in that snow now =D

  11. admin admin says:

angie – They don’t live in the house behind me! :P That’s their neighbours house.

christine – They’ve ploughed the path during several weeks. All that snow didn’t fall over one night! :P

  12. Lady Lady says:

Its all rain around here now =[

  13. Anna Anna says:

Whoo! That is a lot of snow. It’s pretty :) Nice photo. You and all that snow reminded of an old horror film, “The Shining” starring Jack Nicholson. Don’t you like snow? We never have snow in my country, so I always liked seeing snow, whether on TV or in the photos. Haha.

Oh, The Boy With the Batman Shirt is just some guy from work :)

  14. Jennifer Jennifer says:

HOLY SNOW!! I thought we got a lot… ours doesn’t even compare to that.

  15. Zanna Zanna says:

Snön är helt crazy iår. Jag blev helt insnöad förra helgen och kunde inte ta mig nånstans; vägarna var avspärrade och kollektivtrafiken var avstängd O.o

Fast det är väldigt fint, iallafall.

  16. Belinda Belinda says:

    Hey Angie, back online now.
It’s so weird to see snow pictures, when it’s just been a scorcher of summer here in australia. I still want to see snow one day.

  17. Joebs Joebs says:

    That’s..some snow.
I always wanted to experience winter and snow.. but I’ve come to realize that it’s not exactly a pleasant thing sometimes.

  18. Malin Malin says:

Jag är så jäkla trött på snön nu alltså! Jag fasar för den dagen det börjar töa på riktigt med all denna snö! ;)

  19. kitty kitty says:

I am so extremely jealous, you have no idea.

  20. Julie Julie says:

Snow is so crazy. Where I lived for most of my life, we got 2 feet overnight in the winter…. easily! It wasn’t an uncommon occurrence. Well now I’ve moved to the southern US and have seemed to brought it with me. I just want it to stay at home, where it belongs! Haha. VA people can’t drive in the snow and it’s awful. Ugggghh. At least in Sweden, you guys should be used to snow! Not the tons that everywhere is been getting this year, but at least some!

  21. Shaina Shaina says:

WOW! That’s a serious pile of snow! Makes me feel kinda silly for being upset about the 12 inches we keep getting here in Virgina. It’s just so weird… I haven’t seen snow like this since I was young enough to appreciate it. My inner child is probably pretty pissed at me for being such a sourpuss about being snowed in so much lately.

By the way, is that their house behind you? It’s gorgeous!

  22. Shaina Shaina says:

Bah, ignore that question, just read your answer to someone else asking. >.< lol

  23. Alice Alice says:

It’s a lot of snow here too. And they say that the cold is staying until april-may. I’m shocked by how much snow there is in this side of Norway too. Two years ago there was barley any…
That picture was nice! Looks the same as here with the snow. :-)

  24. Annapanna Annapanna says:

  25. Milla Milla says:

    Sluta göm dig din åsna!

  26. Alyssa Alyssa says:

Wow, that’s a lot of snow! We’ve had more snow here this winter than we’ve had in years too. Not as much as you, but still a very good amount. I think it’s pretty and I was excited to play in it in December, but by now I’m starting to get tired of it. :P I’m ready for warm weather!

I’m glad you liked the candy! Butterfingers are one of my favorites. I’m sorry again that it took me so long to send it to you. Life got crazy for a while. :/

  27. Kristine Kristine says:

Ugh I hate snow. We have probably a total of 15 inches where I live right now. Cute picture! ;)

  28. Deanna Deanna says:

We used to get a lot of snow like that. We would have paths just like yours made using the snow blower. This year we have just been getting snow that stays a few weeks then melts away before we get more. I would say the world’s weather has definitely been switching things up the last few years. I’m not used to having no snow. This has been the warmest winter I ever remembered having in my life. It’s the middle of February and we have no snow at all on the ground. It’s very bizarre.

  29. April April says:

OH MY GOSH. The snow there was totally crazy! I mean, that thick? Woah, I can’t imagine how people can manage to live with that kind of snow. Some says they’re enjoying it, some says otherwise. I would like to have snow here in our country (which is, btw, impossible) but not that kind of snow. Haha.

  30. Gel Gel says:

There’s so much snow where you live! :o We don’t have snow here but yeah Angelica, that’s snow’s A LOT. At least you guys are safe, there have been snow storms where my boyfriend is right now (New York). Hope everything’s well with you! Keep safe!

  31. Mallory Mallory says:

Damn, that’s even more than we have here, and we just got blasted with a ‘massive snowstorm’ here! ((It wasn’t actually massive in comparison to what we normally get AT ALL, but since we had basically nothing beforehand, it counts as a ‘big storm’, LOL.))

It’s all melting, though, as it turned mild and rainy right after the storm … But it’s so fucking nasty, because there’s like two feet of water EVERYWHERE, haha … It’s next to impossible not to get your shoes wet no matter where you’re walking! Yuck.

I went out yesterday, and I’m SO FREAKIN’ GLAD I decided to wear my chunky ankle boots, because I was thinking of wearing Chuck Taylors, as I hadn’t even considered all the water everywhere. x__X; Thank God I thought the chunky boots matched better with my outfit, LOL.

    Speakin’ of outfits, yours in that photo is so cute! You look really cozy, haha. x3;

  32. Mallory Mallory says:

Oh, and when I said ‘ It’s next to impossible not to get your shoes wet no matter where you’re walking!’, I meant to include the fact that your SOCKS get wet, as well as your shoes.

    Which is highly annoying. XD;

  33. Daniella Daniella says:

The weather has been crazy everywhere, and I’m definitely sick of winter. Come on summer!! I don’t know if I could handle that much snow, how do you manage to live with that much snow on the ground? For two months? I’m impressed.

  34. Melle Melle says:

snow can sometimes be  but most of the time its ^&*%$#… its okay as long as there will be no snow storm.. haha I love the pictures

  35. Ashley Ashley says:

WOW. I have never seen that much snow!!! here it’s amazing to get two inches!!! Some of that stuff needs to come to me!!!!   If you get anymore it may sallow you whole.

  36. Joy Joy says:

    Wow, thats alot of snow.

The east coast here in the US has been out of control as well. For the first time in history there has been snow in 49 states at the same time

  37. Ann Ann says:

We used to get snow like that all winter long in previous years. Our weather here has been so different. Right now, we’re having weather that we have in APRIL normally! Its crazy, but I’m not complaining about the above-average temps right now! Hope all is well!

:) :D :P 8) ;)    :? :| :/ :O :( >:( >:) more »
