One of my sisters turns 23 in a couple of days and I recently had a look at the list of things she wants. I was shocked and a bit sad when I on that list found a Westlife CD. I discussed this with my other sister since something like this obviously makes me very concerned. Like I told my other sister, just because someone likes drugs and wants drugs it doesn’t mean it’s good for them and you certainly shouldn’t encourage such behaviour. It’s the same with this CD. Listening to such music shouldn’t be encouraged so it’s safe to say she won’t get that CD from me.
No, of course I’m not serious! XD She can listen to whatever music she likes but of course I had to joke about it since I hate Westlife myself. 
Moving on. Today I did some internet shopping at Ellos. I needed a lamp for my desk since the desk area isn’t well lit and really needs to be since that’s where I do all my studying. Reading in dim light can’t be good for my already bad eyesight. Oh yeah, did you know I wear glasses? Or rather, should wear glasses but never do since I don’t think it suits me. At least I see well on a close distance. It’s just things further away that are a bit blurry and I can live with that. Who needs to be able to read a sign twenty meters away anyway? It’s safe to say that when I some day start driving I will need to wear my glasses though.
Ok, I was not going to talk about my bad eyesight. I was going to show you the lamp I bought. Here it is:

The lamp is nice and I love stripes! I have striped bedding at the moment too, but in colour, although the black and white one you got looks absolutely lovely! Haha Westlife, I listened to them for a while a few years ago *runs away and hides* :p

People tell me to get glasses as I have trouble seeing far but as long as I can see what’s right in front of me I don’t think they’re necessary. Never heard of Westlife and when I searched for them I just found covers of other songs.

Lol, I can’t stand the way I look in glasses either (gives me that extra nerdy vibe) so I just wear contacts, which I love. One day I’m hoping to get LASIK if I can ever afford it).
I love love love the lamp and bedset! Black & white is 100% my style! You should check out Ikea too – I found lots of great throw pillows with retro/vintage looking black and white designs on them last year there!

I used to have a bedsheet like that, only it was blue stripes instead of black. I really like the lamp though, it is very celtic/gothic.
Wow you really have this minimalistic taste from everyone else, Angelica. I mean people usually prefer bright-colored lamps but yours is totally different and I LOVE it! The bedding is so cute as well. Black and white are very elegant colors.

Wow, I never knew Westlife was still popular. I must admit that I have a few songs by them on my computer. But I can only take them in small doses so I don’t think I would be able to listen to their whole CD in one sitting.
You have the same eyes as I do. I got glasses back in 2004 and almost never wear them. I will wear them when I go to the movies and anytime I drive (which is never). I also used to wear them in class sometimes. But other than that, they sit in my bag.
I really like your lamp. I think that I would be too scared to order something so big from an online store. I’m sure it will look great in your room!

OH, I see! They’re sort of like the Irish version of Backstreet Boys, just with less members, LOL! I was gonna say, ‘Well, at least their voices sound good,’ but then I listened a bit more and realised that their vocals have been terribly altered and edited to sound absolutely perfect. Same with their pshyical looks … They’re very good looking, but in an annoyingly ‘perfect’ sort of way. ><;

LOL, Westlife! I haven’t heard that name since I was like… 11.
I think you’d look good in glasses… all it takes is finding the frames that fit your face. Like me for example… thicker, cat eye style glasses suit me better than say… thin rimmed square frames. Usually they have people at the clinic or store that are supposed to help you find what looks good.

Hehe, I literally laughed out loud when I read that first bit about your sister wanting a Westlife CD for her birthday! The same thing went through my mind (well, sort-of!) a few weeks ago when my 20-year-old brother bought an old-school Gameboy (the same type he had when he was 10) and a Pokemon game on ebay.
Maybe it’s some sort of regression thing? I don’t know. But hey, at least it gives ample opportunities for playful teasing…

I usually wear contacts, but I just got new glasses and I’ve been wearing them a lot lately. I’m totally blind without contacts or glasses, so I couldn’t get by with not wearing them.
