Isn’t flame comments funny? I just found two of those in a old blog post I wrote a year ago. Read the blog and then the last two comments from Mr “Wtfbbq”. Lol?

That wasn’t what I was going to write about. I was just going to write a short update on what I’ve been up to this week. For the past few days I’ve been studying political history and I’m not quite as overwhelmed by school as I was this Monday when I read about the three assignments in three subjects that I need to finish in three weeks. My reaction reading about the hundreds of pages I have to read, the essays I have to write and the 3D graphic I need to create was something along the lines OH MY FUCKING GOD WHAT THE FUCK JESUS CHRIST. Of course everything felt a bit more overwhelming before I had opened the books. I’ve still only began studying one of the three subjects since I’m going to focus on one at a time, but getting somewhere in at least one of the three has calmed me down. If I can handle political history I should be able to handle 3D graphics and IT as well.
Studying is actually what I’m doing tonight. I just took a short break to write this post and should get back to the Swedish union movement after WW1 now. It’s very interesting, reading about how the working class of Sweden first got organized, formed unions and finally got into a political power position.

Yikes, 3 assignments in 3 weeks? No wonder you were stressed! I’m glad to hear you’re not feeling quite so overwhelmed now though. You’re right about it always seeming worse before you actually start too – I’ve noticed that as well. It’s just a matter of actually getting started in the first place that’s so difficult when you’re panicking about it!
Oh, flamers can be so utterly ridiculous – I haven’t ever had any, to be honest, but the things they usually say are just so…well, stupid. I can imagine it’s upsetting though, even just a little bit. =/
And that was actually a very interesting blog that you got flamed on, and a very valid point: I have nothing against the USA or its people (far from it), but I don’t think it’s fair for people from other countries to be judged by whether or not they know who the 23rd U.S president was or whatever (even as I type that, I have no idea who it was!). And of course, the title made me smile because “America is not the world” is the name of a Morrissey song.
Also, I’m so, so sorry that I haven’t commented in so long and thus ended up missing your birthday by more than a whole month! D: I feel awful about that, but of course I wish you a very belated happy birthday. *hug*
Good luck with your assignments. They do not sound fun to me. I hope they are things you are interested in. I hate history and avoided classes like that haha.
One at a time is key: don’t let that flood overhwelm you! Trust me… I know how that panic feels. One thing that helps me a lot is to make a to-do list and write assignment due dates on a calendar or a planner. This helps me to figure out what I need to finish first and what needs the most attention.
Good luck with your assignments! You’ll do fine.
Hahahaha, yeah, I think a friend of mine got a couple of flame comments from the same person (not Mr. BBQ, it was some girl) last year. Silly idiots.
That sounds horrible!! I completely understand how you would feel overwhelmed. Hope you are feeling better about it now and i’d say if you can handle politcal history – you can handle ANYTHING – I hate political history!!
p.s. I have converted to wordpress!! I would really really appreciate any advice or feedback – soo confusing!
Ouch! That person was mean. Anyway, ouch again on all the assignments. I swear college professors just try to overwhelm and kill you with all the work! Good luck with it all.
