Yesterday was my six years on Last.fm anniversary. Last.fm is basically a site which lists the music you listen to. You download an app to your computer and/or phone and Last.fm creates charts of the music you listen to on your profile. You can see your top artists and top tracks. After a while it gets really interesting.
Back in 2006 I ripped (ripping is the transferring of audio or video from a CD to a computer) my entire CD collection and packed away my CD-player. Since then I’ve only been listening to music on my computer, therefore every single song I’ve played during the past six years is listed on Last.fm. That’s why looking at my charts is so interesting.
During these past six years I’ve listened to 111006 songs, making it an average of fifty-one songs a day. My top artist is Manic Street Preachers with 16863 plays and my top track Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na) by My Chemical Romance with 1279 plays.
Feel free to add me as a friend on Last.fm.
