I was looking through mail order catalogue Ellos and as usual found the ideals portrayed tiresome. All of the models were of course skinny but what I found really upsetting was the plus size models. Because there’s nothing plus about them! If you look at the average woman the plus size models are normal sizes and the regular models minus sized. There’s of course nothing wrong with being skinny. It’s just rather tiresome that the beauty ideals tells us being skinny is pretty much the only option.

It’s actually quite sad how the skinny ones are portrayed as sexy and beautiful. I know women who aren’t skinny but are both beautiful and healthy. I say as long as you’re happy and content with who you are (and healthy too, of course), then that’s all there is to it
sv; då måste de väl varit en helt vanlig snetändning då. blev lite rädd eftersom min kompis däckade oxå, vilket jag inte har hört att så många har gjort av vanligt grönt..
The first one has…big shoulders? I dunno. I have no idea what makes either of them plus size. It is daft how people advertise these things. I mean, if you’re skinny, you’re skinny, that’s fine – but the do deliberatly chose the smaller, daintier women.
