Today I’ve been feeling awful all day. I’ve been tired and nauseated. I often suffer from nausea when I’m tired so that’s not weird. Despite of that I cleaned the apartment because I didn’t feel like just staying in bed all day. Since I finished the cleaning I’ve been catching up with some TV-series I follow. I’ve watched some Supernatural, The Big Bang Theory, The Vampire Diaries and now Two and a Half Men.
The summer balcony project is coming along very nicely. There are no flowers yet since I can’t afford any until after my next paycheck. This weekend I planted some seeds though and I also bought something for the balcony which made it look super awesome. I’ll take pictures and show you tomorrow.
Now I’m going to make my couch bed into bed mode and continue watching TV. Two and a Half Men awaits and then maybe Glee. Or sleep.
Last year I posted photos of my summer balcony as it took shape and I thought I’d show you the process of this years summer balcony as well. Last years colour theme was blue, red and white. This years colour theme will be turquoise, red and white. Not much difference there. Since one of the balcony walls is blue some shade of blue feels like an obvious colour choice.
There are no flowers yet. It’s slightly too early to plant stuff so I’ve just began the decorating. This may not be exactly how I’ll arrange things in the end.
This turquoise polka dotted cloth is called a “vaxduk” in Swedish. That directly translates to “waxed cloth”. I have no idea what it’s called in English. Whatever it’s called, it’s new and I like it. The candle and candle plate are also new.

I’ve begun project summer baloncy 2013. Earlier this week I began cleaning the balcony and today I continued with it. This year I’m not just cleaning the furniture, flower pots and stuff but the balcony structure itself. Everything is so dirty! I’ve probably spent a total of six hours cleaning the balcony floor, walls and railing so far and it’s not even done yet! This shit can’t have been cleaned in decades. The railing is the worst. Just look at these pictures and compare the part I haven’t yet cleaned to the left with the part I’ve cleaned to the right.
At 7 PM, after being at this since 2 PM, I had finished 50% of the railing and decided that was enough for today. After being out on the balcony for several hours, without enjoying even a minute of it, I decided to sit down with a glass of cherry wine and relax for a bit.
I found a couple of photos of my apartment from when I had just moved in. I hadn’t even unpacked or decided where exactly to place my furniture when these photos were taken. This was before renovations. Before I bought most of the furniture I have today. It’s hard to see anything of the home I have today in these pictures.
I’ve decided that I need a rococo desk. A black or white one. The problem is that the pretty antique ones are too small for my needs. I need to be able to place my Wacom tablet in front of my laptop which requires a depth of at least 60 centimetres but preferably even more. Second hand rococo style desks generally aren’t that big. There’s the option to buy a new desk but the two models I’ve found which I like both have problems.
This beautiful desk from Vasahem is too expensive.
This desk from IKEA is, if you see it in real life, actually more brown than black. I hate brown. Actually I hate all wooden furniture which aren’t painted. So if I bought this I’d have to repaint it myself. If I have to repaint a desk I’d rather buy a cheap second hand one than a expensive brand new one.

Andreas is in Stockholm and I’m having some alone time. I began with taking a bath with more bubbles than I’ve ever bathed in before. I brought a book with me and laid in there reading for an hour or so. Then I did my nails while I watched a couple of episodes of How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory. Now (as seen in the photo) it’s time for chocolate milk and more reading, in the light of candles. I’m wearing a kimono I made when I was fifteen. Surprisingly, it still fits. And I still kind of like it. It’s dark blue with pink roses. Pretty. Look at Nicky by the way. Looking straight into the camera probably wondering why the fuck it’s making weird sounds at him.

This past week I’ve been busy with all kinds of Christmas preparations but I haven’t posted a single photo of anything I’ve been doing so here’s a bunch of pictures, mostly of this years decorations.
Here’s the 2012 Christmas tree. Same as last year + three new sets of ornaments. I call it my Winter Wonderland Christmas tree because I think it looks like something straight out of a Christmas fairytale.
Today I bought five of these from Rusta. I’m thinking about buying five more but I don’t know since they were quite pricey at 40 SEK ($6 €5) a piece. I’ll probably buy five more anyway because they’re oh so pretty!
Last year I bought ten glass cupcake ornaments from Rusta which are also oh so pretty. This is what my Christmas tree looked like last year. It will look pretty much the same this year only I’m adding a few things. I love my Christmas tree. It’s so very me! A green tree with traditional decorations just isn’t very Angelica. Everything in my home has to be very Angelica, including Christmas decorations.
