At least I’m happy over the Christmas presents I’ve bought myself. Since I can finally wear colourful clip-in hair extensions I bought five hot pink, two baby pink and two white 50 cm clip-in extensions. Since these extensions has to be clipped in underneath your hair so the little comb isn’t visible they don’t work well when all of your hair has the same length. Now when the shortest layers of my hair is only 10 cm long I can clip in the extensions under that hair et voila 40 cm of them are visible. They’re a bit too short but it’s hard finding anything affordable which is 65 cm long like my hair.

I also bought a new straightening iron. I have three but they’re all the old cheap kind which doesn’t work well. Now I bought a Ga.Ma Italy CP1 Electronic Ceramic-ion which was rather expensive but according to the reviews I’ve read about it one of the best straightening irons on the market.

I’ve also bought this. Or rather I bought it but my parents will pay for it. Every year I get a outfit for Christmas as one of my Christmas presents from my parents. The bow isn’t new but it goes perfectly with the dress so I will wear it with it. I’ll probably wear a black glitter cardigan over the dress plus black glitter stockings.

It’s not even December yet and I’m almost done with my Christmas shopping. I’ve bought most of the presents, Christmas cards, wrapping paper and ribbons, a tree and ornaments for it. I want to wrap the presents right now but I’ll have to force myself to wait a while because I prefer to do it closer to Christmas. You see every year I have this cosy night of gift wrapping when I light gingerbread and cinnamon scented candles, listen to Christmas music, drink spiced mulled wine and eat chocolate. And I just feel that it’s too soon to indulge in the holiday spirit like that when it’s not even December yet.

Last but not least, I’ve added two new categories to the blog. Beauty & Fashion and My Home. Beauty & Fashion is all the posts which previously were tagged Looks. My Home also used to be a tag but is now a category. Both tags had so many posts that I decided they deserved categories of their own since the tags are supposed to be subcategories. For example posts in the Beauty & Fashion category now have tags such as Clothes, Shoes and Make-up. If you’re looking for specific things this will make it easier to find them.

Speaking of something a lot more serious. A woman was assaulted in the small forest in my neighbourhood. I take the bike road though that forest at least once a week so I was pretty freaked to hear about it. Apparently the attacker tried to drag a woman from the bike road up into the woods but her dog attacked the man who then ran away. It happened around noon, in broad daylight! Guess how scared I was when I took the bike through that forest today at dusk. I’ll never do that again. From now on if I need to go that way after dark I’ll take the bus.

Fall is passing by quickly and this year autumn doesn’t feel as bad as it usually does. I still loathe the season with every fibre of my being but I manage better than last year. Probably because city life is full of distractions. The busier I am the less I notice how early it gets dark, how cold it is and how depressing the trees look without their leaves. I’m also trying to embrace the season by lighting candles in the evening and taking long baths once in a while. Those things which just aren’t as cosy in the summer. A thing which definitely is positive about fall is being able to wear my pretty winter clothes again and buying new clothes suitable for the season. Below you can see my latest finds. Winter is getting closer and I’ve bought new shoes and a new hat. Now I just need a new coat. I love my black hippie coat with grey fake fur lining but I bought it back in 2004 and have worn it every winter since so it’s getting rather worn out. I got several other winter jackets but the coat is my favourite.

Here I am back in January 2005 wearing my beloved coat which I at that time had bought just a couple of months earlier. Isn’t it pretty?

Bought this rose plant and black flower pot at the neighbourhood convenience store today. Matches the kitchens pink walls and black floor.

Vanilla muffins with strawberry frosting.

Strawberry cream and marzipan roses. I kept the muffins in a freezer bag for a day before I decorated them, hence the baking cups almost coming off.

The artist in me loved decorating the cupcakes so today I bought a bunch of pretty baking cups for future cupcake adventures in the kitchen. I’ve got so many ideas for future decorations! Gothic cupcakes, cute cupcakes, elegant cupcakes, Christmas cucakes. I think I’ve found a new hobby. Too bad it’s such a unhealthy one. Anyway, here’s the baking cups I bought from this E-bay seller.
