Recently I got a new package of tampons from Tampons for free. Tampons for free sends you a package of free (duh!) tampons and a flyer with advertising and often discounts on a different product every month. By blogging about it you join the VIP club and get not only discounts on the monthly product but also the product itself sent to you. This months products was shaving gel and razors from Bic.

I loved the gel and razors. I already use razors from Bic but these were better than the ones I’m using so I’m going to continue with this model.

Project: summer balcony

I bought this plant table for my balcony. This year I’ll have a pretty summer balcony. I’ve already bought some flowers, plants and seeds and I’m going to buy even more soon.

Angelica vs the fridge ice

Today while cleaning the kitchen I took upon myself to defeat the ice that for months had slowly worked a hostile takeover of the fridge.

First I poured hot water over it. The ice shrank slowly.

Then I took out my hair dryer, the ice now melted faster. Unfortunately the hair dryer suddenly stopped working.

Then I took out a knife and stabbed it in between the ice and fridge wall.

Thanks to the knife I won the battle.

And the fridge is now free of ice.

More nail polish

Yesterday I bought some new nail polish and lo and behold, one is golden! I’m very surprised at myself because I’ve never been too fond of gold. I’m more of a silver girl. For example 95% of my jewellery is silver. I barely own any golden jewellery but today I put on a gold necklace and a fake gold bracelet to match my new nail polish.

I’m not sure what to do today. I had an errand at nine so I got up really early today. At least it’s early for me who works afternoons and rarely gets up before twelve. Today I don’t work though so now I’m a bit bored. Perhaps I’ll plant the tomato, basil and salad seeds I bought a while ago. I’m making my balcony pretty this year with flowers, vegetables and herbs.

Oh well, now I’m going to have some more coffee because I’m dead tired due to lack of sleep last night.

Spring day gardening

Today I’ve had a wonderful spring day in the sun. I rode the bike to my parents house where I helped my dad out in the garden and then had dinner with my parents.

Nail polish

I recently bought nail polish from Depend in three different shades of blue. I decided to go creative with them.

Haha just realized they match my site layout. That’s good, because they don’t match anything else. I don’t own any blue clothes except for jeans.

Since I have naturally long and curled eyelashes I’ve never felt the need to use false lashes. Then I got the idea that I’d buy party lashes. It’s a more extreme type of false eyelashes which adds a lot of length.

Nicky Wire

Most of you already know it but for those of you who don’t (and just because I feel like posting lots of photos of Nicky Wire) I named my cat after the bassist of my favourite band Manic Street Prachers.

“Pretty women” travels for free

I just found a site called Miss Travel which is a place where “attractive members” and “generous members” can meet. The attractive members gets to travel for free with the generous members who are looking for travel companions. Of course the generous members happens to be men and the attractive members women, with photos of themselves in underwear or other revealing clothes.

I’m so sick of this phenomenon. The rich man providing for the beautiful woman. Of course they’re both using each other. One gets status and the other money. But still, I think it’s worse for the woman. The focus is on her appearance, on her body. She’s selling herself like a piece of meat and the man is the one buying her thus giving him the power in a very unequal relationship. How many of these men will expect sex? I’m sure many of them will feel that the women owes them that in return for the free trip.

Even though the site is called a dating site it’s of course more of a escort service. There’s a thin line between escort services and prostitution. I wonder how many will cross it because of Miss Travel?
