It’s interesting how people have different sides. I for one sure have. When I’m with my friends I do crazy things and laugh at inappropriate jokes but at work I’m responsible and polite. I don’t think the old ladies shopping at the thrift store would like the me I am in the company of my friends. I guess most of us who work are like this. At work we have to be professionals but off work we can be whatever we feel like. A crazy party girl in my case.

And speaking of party girls I’d like to share yet another one of my fancy drink recipes. Cheap Mary!

So like the name tells us Cheap Mary is a budget version of Bloody Mary. It’s not only cheap but also really easy to make. Just pour vodka in a glass and then mix it with ketchup. I’m not sure exactly how much ketchup since I haven’t tried this drink myself but perhaps one of you could? Please do and then get back to me, ok?

Today I cooked a proper meal. A dish I’ve never tried before. I followed a recipe and even used the owen! That doesn’t sound too impressing but it is when it comes to me. Perhaps you remember my new years “wish to do list”. A list of not resolutions but things I’d try – not promise myself – to do. Well cooking a dish I’ve never tried before once a week didn’t work out too well. Cooking in general haven’t worked out too well lately. I actually didn’t cook a meal for a month back in march. Not one! I lived on tv-dinners and sandwiches.

I’m gonna try to do better and before I went grocery shopping this tuesday I picked out a few recipes I’m gonna try and bought ingredients. My fridge is full of vegetables. Vegetables! Usually the only thing even remotely similar to a vegetable in my fridge is the bottle of lemon juice shaped like a lemon. And that lemon juice is barely ever used for actual cooking. Mosty I just use it for my tequila wannabe drinks.

Speaking of which, I shared my drink recipe for finnish summer soup a while ago and now I’m gonna share with you yet another classy drink. The Tequila Wannabe!

This is what you need:
Vodka
Bottled lemon juice

And this is how you do it:
Drink the vodka from one shot glass and then the lemon juice from another shot glass. Repeat until drunk.

The story behind this is that I hate drinking vodka straight but sometimes I run out of soda or whatever I’m mixing it with. So to wash away the taste of alcohol I drink a shot of lemon juice right after the shot of vodka.

So I’ve decided to blog even when I have absolutely nothing new to tell you or talk about. So here we go. This is the results of my uneventful day. Well personally I don’t think grocery shopping deserves to be called an event. Buuuut, at the grocery store I bought a few things which I because of my lack of things to tell you will show you.

1. Two CD boxes with skulls on. I’m not sure what to use them for but I’m thinking perhaps when I travel or maybe for CD’s with photos and random computer back-up stuff. Whatever. They’re pretty and only costed me 10 SEK (1€) a piece so wether I actually will find a use for them or not is irrelevant.

2. A small notebook. Nothing special. I just needed a new notebook.

3. Garden gloves with strawberries on. Not that I have a garden but I do have a balcony where I every summer place some flower pots. Ok, I don’t actually need these gloves but they’re cute so yeah… I bought them anyway.

4. Plastic plates and cups with flowers on. These I actually need. They’re perfect for when me and my friends sit in parks drinking booze hold picnics in the summer.

AND now I can make finnish summer soup! Let me share the recipe. you’re gonna love it!

You need:
1 plate with flowers on
1 bottle of Koskenkorva (finnish vodka). Well it’s not a whole bottle per serving but you’re gonna want a re-fill, or two, or three or ten, you know.

Ok, so here’s what you do:
Pour the vodka on the plate. Eat with a spoon or drink directly from the plate. Who cares, you’ll end up drunk anyway! Add soda, marguerita mix or whatever for extra taste.

Enjoy!
