Me and my boyfriend have booked a trip to Marrakech, Morocco. We’ll be going soon and I’m super, super, super excited. I’ve only been abroad for real once, to Gran Canaria Spain, nine years ago. I don’t count a one hour visit to Norway in 2001 or the countless times I went to Finland as a child (I grew up fifty kilometres from the Swe/Fin border). All Scandinavian countries are pretty much the same so the only trip abroad I really count is that week in Spain nearly a decade ago. So you see why I’m excited. I’ve been wanting to go to Morocco for many years, mostly because it’s such a exotic destination, reasonably close to Sweden. At least I think a four hour flight is pretty close. Four hours and we’ll fly all across Europe, landing in northern Africa. We’ll be staying at a three star hotel for a week which is awesome and so much more than we’d be able to afford if we would have gone to Paris as we first planned to. Western Europe is expensive. Morocco is not. I’ll update you on how the trip went when I’m back.
